Cultural War
When Disneyland opened in France, there is high context culture dimensions but without understanding the cultural dimensions of France, owners of Disneyland open park by their American low context culture dimension. The owners imposed their low context culture of America to the France without understanding their needs which results in lot of problems due to such cultural war between high and low context culture.
The main problem faced by Disneyland is that they are not able to understand the French culture and the French people. They are imposing their own culture on the French people which creates a lot of problems for them. Thus, it can be said that Disneyland failed because of its failure to understand and adapt to France's unique cultural dimensions.
This issue can be solved by HR managers. First, they should hire people who are familiar with French culture and know how to handle problems associated with it. Second, they should provide training for employees so that they can understand the differences between their own culture and that of France. Third, they should establish an open communication channel between management and employees so that everyone knows what is going on at all times.
Reflection
1
Skills
I believe that understanding high context and low context cultural dimensions can help HR managers to design better human resource planning and management styles. This is because it helps the managers to understand how their employees think, feel, and act. It also helps them understand the different types of communication styles that are used by the employees.
Being able to understand these things will help HR managers to know what kind of environment they need to create in order for their employees to be comfortable with them as leaders. This will then allow them to create a more effective working relationship between themselves and their employees.
2
Knowledge
I learned that cultural dimensions affect the way we perceive, interpret and communicate with others. I also learned that cultural dimensions are independent of each other, so we can find people who have high scores in all four dimensions (high-high), or low scores in all four (low-low). This means that it is possible to have a high score on one dimension and a low score on another.

Behavioral Changes
This is important because if you want to attract a workforce from different countries, then you need to understand how they will react in certain situations. If you don't understand this, then you may run into problems with communication or other issues that could lead to poor employee retention rates.
For example, if you were trying to attract employees from Germany, then it would be important for you know how this group tends to behave in the workplace. You might find that people from Germany are more direct when communicating compared with someone who is from France where they are more indirect when communicating.

Future
In the future, I would like to develop my career in human resources. I am passionate about people and helping them grow. Human Resources is a field that allows me to focus on the employee experience and help employees reach their full potential.
I think that understanding high context and low context cultural dimensions can help HR managers design better Human Resource planning and management style because it helps them understand the different needs of employees from different cultures. This will allow for better communication between managers and employees, which will result in more effective management.
